The new design principles developed in SFB TRR 280 are implemented within the IAG Materials and Manufacturing. Special attention is given to the development of new carbon fibers, textiles and binders for carbon concrete. The new carbon concrete structures are produced by innovative manufacturing processes such as 3D concrete printing and extrusion.

For comprehensive quality control, the new materials are analyzed, respectively, with the help of computer tomographic data. In addition, a detailed in situ* assessment of sustainability is already carried out during the development process.
