In TRR 280, seed funds are awarded and spent for four to six interesting scientific project ideas on topics that have arisen during the work on the scientific projects, for example. The aim is to pursue interesting ideas and create preliminary work for strategically important further development of research at the TRR. In autumn 2021, the first ideas and proposals for seed fund (SF) projects were submitted. Subsequently, the proposals were evaluated by two independent reviewers for each proposal. On this basis, the General Assembly decided in February 2022 to fund the first five SF projects.
