Two scientists from the SFB/TRR 280 were honored at the Deutsche Bautechnik-Tag on March 20 and 21, 2025 in Stuttgart.
The 2nd place in the Rüsch Forschungspreis 2025 was awarded in equal parts to two researchers, namely:
Dr.-Ing Lena Leicht for her work “Characterization of mineral-bonded composites for impact attenuation”. She completed the thesis at the Technical University of Dresden at the Institute of Concrete Structures (IMB), TU Dresden under Prof. Manfred Curbach.
and
Dr.-Ing Homam Spartali for his work “Towards an efficient design of carbon reinforced concrete elements: from prismatic beams to origami-based folded shells”, which he completed at RWTH Aachen University at the Chair and Institute of Concrete Structures under Prof. Josef Hegger and Prof. Dr. habil. Rostislav Chudoba.
